Coppersheen Eire Sent of Dunroon "Star"

*4.12.2017 Pinebay Coppersheen Columbus x Corradeelish Sionnach

PRA rcd1/rcd4 & CLAD: hereditary CLEAR

The lovely "Star" lives with Sara Jales and the Dunroon Setters in the UK.

Star is a very cheeky young lady - but with a face like that she can get away with murder.

She ran in her first Puppy and Novice trials in spring 2019 and was very keen. Unfortunately she missed the summer grouse trials due to coming in season but was back on the moors again working in August.

On Feb 27 2021 Star gave birth to 12 puppies! Sadly two did not survive but the remaining ten pups (7 boys & 3 girls) are thriving and strong. Star is proving to be a super mum - who'd have thought that "Baby Star" could be so grown up and serious!

Sire of the litter is Sara's own Lakenhow Cedar of Dunroon "Dash", a Field Trial award winner as are many of his prestigious ancestors, all coming down fro the 50 year old line of the Dunroon Working Setters, founded by Peter Heard and going back to his Ch Joanma's Adriano (1965) and the famed Sulhamstead breeding.
Both Star and Dash live as pets in the house - unless they are out working on the Grouse moors or on partridge.

2020 saw all trials cancelled due to COVID. However Star proved herself as part of the counting team during the summer on the grouse moors.

I was thrilled to meet up with Star this summer - she definitely remembered me! Here she is showing her paces, being worked on the grouse by Colin Adamson.

Little Star, who could resist that face? She knows it, too...!!!
